Back: This design is a post-deconstruction reconstruction of the following: (1) the visuals of the street-gang movie masterpiece, "The Warriors," directed by Walter Hill; and (2) the logo design of The Salvages.
Who's the Salvages?
"Surrender" is a near-legendary shop establish in Singapore by James Lavelle from Mo'Wax/UNKLE alongside Earn Chen.
Using the backdrop of New York, London & Tokyo's Ura-Harajuku streetwear, it's co-founder Earn Chen is known as an important figure, not only in Singapore but, across major Southeast Asian cities' underground scene including Manila, Jakarta, Bali, Bangkok.
He started "The Salvages" along with Nicolette Yip, and it has steadily gained a cult-like presence across the globe, via online outlets besides Dover Street Market.
